Leaves, trash, and dead birds can get stuck under the edges of your panels and block airflow, which causes the system to heat up. Panels generate less energy when they’re too hot.
We offer great maintenance services, where we get up on the roof once a year (which is generally enough) to clean and test, risking our necks so you don’t have to! We’ll wash the surface of your modules, clear debris, and check the wiring. Sometimes the electrical conductors break down with time, so we replace them. And every so often, we find entire panels that never got hooked up in the first place! (Note: this only ever happens on systems installed by someone else.)
